To My Special Someone

When we met for the first time
In XXXXXXXX’s 7th grade band
I hoped only in my mind
That I’d get to hold your hand
We sat and played without talking
And waited for the next 2 years
But on the night of November 5th
The chance of my life had appeared
From that moment on
I knew I’d be filled with glee
From all the days before band
Just talking under our tree
We got closer and closer
Curled up in the park
I hope for the rest of my life
That I will be blessed with this spark
I knew from the start
You had a heart of gold
Your jackets come in handy
Especially when I’m cold
I never knew then
I’d fall in love with a cuber
We’ve talked through it all
Even the incident with Ms. XXXer
On the night of April 26th
We shared our first kiss
We grew so much as a couple
I felt nothing but bliss
I know we will grow
And we’ve just started our climb
But I, XXXXXXXX XXXXX
Will love you for the rest of time
